How to Receive a Huawei ID Verification Code?

Huawei Members can easily access their accounts by just logging-in using their Huawei IDs. Huawei IDs can be used for up to ten devices and protected by using a verification code to verify identity before logging in.

Enabling verification codes when handling other devices lets you monitor your account with ease and lesser risks. Nowadays, identity theft and fraudulent activities are big issues or threats that the online realm is currently battling. Avoid yourself from being a victim of these incidents by setting up your verification code.

But what if you’re having trouble receiving your Huawei ID verification code through your email address or phone number provided? Here’s what you can do to solve the issue.

Reasons why you’re not receiving verification codes

  • You Input an Incorrect Phone Number or Email Address

Address this issue by going back to your account details and verifying whether you’ve entered the right details for your phone number and email. Typo error is a very common mistake why some users failed to receive a verification code to log-in their Huawei ID in other devices. It’s important to double-check these details before saving it so you won’t face the same issues again the next time you log-in or use another device.

  • You accidentally blocked Huawei.

If you’ve chosen your email address to receive verification codes, you must have restricted other email addresses such as Huawei from going into your inbox. Check your spam mail if there are any emails from Huawei that went in there instead of your inbox. Chances are, your email must have filtered it to go to spam mail due to some security reasons. Try changing up your email settings to prevent this from happening. For text messages, you may contact your carrier to stop it from blocking Huawei’s messages.

  • You accidentally blacklisted Huawei.

Just in case you have accidentally blacklisted Huawei from your messages, go to the Messaging option button then click Blocked. You will then be prompted with a list of blacklisted messages. Try to scroll if you found any from Huawei and try to enable or take it out from blacklisted messages.

  • Poor Network

Depending on your location, delays can happen and will always happen. Ensure you have a good signal when logging in with another device to avoid the verification code from delaying. Most likely, the network has something to do with it and needs more time to receive it.

What if the verification code has expired, incorrect, or does not exist?

When this happens after you’ve input your verification code successfully, you will need to update Huawei Mobile Services to the latest version. To do this, simply go to the Account Center, then click Settings and choose to Check for updates.

Verify if the time of your device is in sync with the network’s time. Most likely, the problem has something to do with time difference or error in time syncing.

If your device has EMUI 8.0 and later, visit Settings, then System > Date & Time, and you’ll need to enable the Set Automatically option.

How to Organize Your iPhone Dock

The iPhone’s Dock (some people refer to it as the menu bar or the Home screen bottom bar) provides a means to access your most frequently used apps from any of your Home Screens. While Apple’s default choice of apps in the Dock may be just fine for you, if you ever want to change apps on the iPhone Dock then you can move the app icons to meet your needs.

How to Organize Your iPhone Dock

You will have to remove an app from the Dock before you can add a new app icon to the dock. To rearrange the apps on the iPhone dock:

  1. Tap and hold on any app icon in the iPhone Dock. When the Action Menu opens, select Edit Home Screen.
  2. Now, your dock and Home screen will enter “wiggle mode.”
  3. Drag and drop one of the app icons from the dock to the Home screen.
  4. Next, drag the app icon you want move into the Dock from the Home screen and position it wherever you want it on the Dock.
  5. Repeat this for any other app icons you wish to change.
  6. When done, tap the Home button or gently swipe up from the Home bar to exit “wiggle mode.”

Now, you have a customized Dock with your favorite apps. You can switch these out any time, so have fun with it until you find the arrangement that’s just right for you.

How to Block or Allow Pop-ups on Safari on Your iPhone

If you’ve been having trouble with pop-ups on your iPhone whenever you try to browse online, you’re probably hoping for a way to block pop-ups on Safari. Luckily, your iPhone does have a way to disable pop-ups in Safari so that you don’t have to deal with these annoying interruptions anymore. Conversely, you may want a website to be pop-up enabled but realize that the pop-up blocker on your iPhone is stopping pop-ups you actually need. Let’s get started learning how to disable pop-ups and enable them again in Safari on your iPhone so you can browse the web in peace. (Note that this article doesn’t cover how to disable in-app rating requests on the iPhone; you will need to do that in the App Store settings.)

How to Block or Allow Pop-ups on Safari on Your iPhone

  • Open Settings.
  • Scroll down to Safari and tap it.
  • Scroll down under General until you find Block Pop-ups.
  • Toggle on Block Pop-ups.

That’s it! There may still be a few sneaky pop-ups that get past this setting, but taking this step should drastically reduce the amount of pop-ups you encounter while browsing the web on your iPhone. If you find that pop ups you actually want are being blocked, you can toggle Block Pop-ups back off while you’re using a particular website.

How to Create & Add Events to Calendar on iPhone & iPad

One of the most useful apps on the iPhone and iPad is one I use multiple times throughout the day; the Calendar app. Beyond the ability to create an event or appointment and add it, the Calendar can be synced between all your Apple devices using iCloud. In addition you have the choice to use multiple calendars, such as one for work and one for home. When you make and add an event to the Calendar app, it’s automatically placed in the default calendar on your device. Let’s get started learning how to create Calendar events, add event details, and, if you choose, place your events in separate Calendars.

View Your Calendar by Day, Month, or Year

  • You can view your calendar by day, month, and year by tapping the Today tab at the bottom of your screen.

How to Create Keyboard Shortcuts on Your iPhone

If you look through your messages you will probably notice that you use a lot of the same phrases over and over. But did you know you can be boring and repetitive in half the time by creating a few text replacements? A text replacements, formerly called keyboard shortcuts, let you enter an entire word or phrase by typing just a few characters.

For example, Apple has already set one up for “On my way!” The company’s thoughtfulness means fully half of your text messages can be quickly taken care of by typing the characters “omw.”

To create your own shortcuts, go to Settings > General > Keyboard, then tap Add New Shortcut. The possibilities are endless:

“Hdyr” for “Honey, did you remember to … ?” when texting your spouse.

“Nycc” for “No, you can’t have any cookies.” and “dyh” for “Do your homework.” when texting your children.

“Idwiw” for “I do what I want.” for your kids when they text you back.

What phrases do you use the most when texting? Let us know in the comments.
